July 1st we went up American Fork Canyon for a picnic with my family. We went up early to get a picnic spot, the river was running so fast and loud. Logan wore his monkey backpack with the leash the whole time and he kept pointing to the river saying "wow".
Logan loves his uncle Justin. There were a lot of dandy lions around so Logan and Justin were blowing them.
Me and my sisters.
The family sitting around the fire roasting marshmallows, starburst, and red vine rope.
This is Logan and Grammie with his newest cousin Brandon. Brandon was born the week before we went to Moab. Logan is so cute with Brandon, he is so good at being soft with him, he rubs his head and points to his eyes and puts his head next to either Brandon's head or chest to give him a love. He will help hold Brandon for a few seconds but he doesn't want to have to sit for very long.
July 20-23 we went to Moab with Megan and Justin. We had the best campground in all of Moab, it is in this little canyon with large red rock walls that remind me of Lake Powell and tons of trees, squirrels and lizards.
This is the end of the canyon the campground is in. The little white dot in the green at the bottom is Ryan's shirt; Ryan with Logan in his arms and Justin climbed up the rocks as far as they could. Some of the other people in the campground told us that the night before we got there there was a rain storm and there was a huge waterfall coming over the edge of the rock.
Megan and Justin.
This is my favorite picture of Logan.
While Megan and Justin went on a day river trip we went mountain biking. This was Logan's first mountain bike ride. He loves Riding with his dad.
We went to Arches with Megan and Justin on the 22nd. It was a fun day. Megan and I had been to Arches years ago with our family but this was our first time hiking to Delicate Arch.
We made it to the arch. The hike is a good one, there is one area where you climb up slickrock and it is a workout. Logan is such a good little hiker. He loves being in his Little Life and it is so funny to hear what other hikers have to say about how cute he is in it.
Standing under the arch puts into perspective how truly huge and amazing it really is.
We found a nice shady spot with this split in the rock that Logan and Ryan climbed up into at another spot in the park where we ate our lunch.
We went to Dead Horse Point State Park and rode a 4 mile loop that they have near the visitors center. Megan and Justin had never mountain biked before and we were told at the bike shop where they got their rentals that it was one of the best beginner rides.
Family picture after the ride at the actual point of Dead Horse Point.
Saturday before we headed home we went and rode the practice loop at the slickrock trail. Holy crap that trial is crazy, I don't know if I will ever be in shape enough and brave enough to do the 13 mile trail. Logan was having so much fun and so tired from 3 days of no nap and lots of fun that he fell asleep on the ride.
Lake Powell with the Smith Family. This was a year of a lot of firsts for Logan's: his first year at Lake Powell, his first time on a boat, first time tubing, and first time knee boarding(unfortunatly I didn't have my camera with me when he and Ryan were on the knee board, I need to get pictures from Ryan's sisters of them).
He loved going on boat rides, he took a nap on the boat almost every day all the bouncing didn't keep him awake.
Notice his tongue sticking out and his hair blowing in the wind? Yes the boat was moving when I took this picture, He loved to stand and hold the rail as the boat was going, Vanessa was holding onto his foot while I took the picture, when I didn't have the camera in my hand i was holding onto his life jacket.

Hanging with Devin
Helping uncle Steve drive the boat
Chillin' on the beach.
I have never knee boarded before, but with a little instruction from Steve I was up on my 3rd attempt. It is so hard to do, upper body strength is a must and I don't have a lot of that but I did it.
Awesome family picture taken by Devin as we headed back to the Marina. We had a great week.
