Another Zoo day

Logan and I went to the Zoo today with Uncle Quinton.
We went into the stinky reptile house but Logan loved walking around seeing the animals that are down at his level.

He pointed at the Rhino, Gorilla, Orangutan, Kangaroo and Ducks; that is the first time he's made any indication that he could see the animals at a distance.

Easter

So I had to work Easter morning so Daddy took all the pictures to document what I was missing.

Finding the candy in his basket.
Love the new blanket.
Dressed so handsome, ready for church.

My new project

I started making these key chains in February after seeing one that Megan had bought at a craft fair in Nevada last summer. They keep your hands free so you can carry other things and you don't drop your keys. I'm selling them for $3.

These are on brown webbing.

These are on bright pink and orange.

Trains

Logan is all boy and enjoys playing with balls and cars and his latest find trains. Monday when I got home from work he started pointing to the train that Grandpa Smith gave him so we got out a small section of the track and got the train going.

It was so fun to watch him get in the middle of the track and sit on his knees and move as the train went around and around.

Finally he just sat in the middle and pushed the buttons to make the whistle sound.

Conference Weekend

We had a nice conference weekend. We were home for a good portion of it. Saturday while Ryan was at priesthood Logan and I went to dinner and shopping with my sisters.
This is what we woke up to Sunday morning.

Such a cute smile. He had just been looking out the front window at the snow.

I think he was actually a little excited about the snow because he started acting goofy.
We watched the Sunday afternoon session at my mom and dads after having Sunday dinner with them between sessions. Logan wearing the "minion" glasses that came with my mom and dads Despicable Me movie.

After Conference we went out to Grandma Farnsworth's to celebrate her 87th birthday with a bunch of our family.

The Birthday girl!

Aunt Betsy, Aunt Kathy and Mom dishing up everyone's cake. We had grandma's favorite, Angel Food cake with an Orange sauce over it- Yummy!

JT giving Sarah a hello kiss, but she didn't like it very well.

Logan showing JT how to lift a ball up so high.

Growing up we always put on shows and used grandma's hearth as our stage; well my little brother Jacob didn't have that opportunity until Sunday. He performed a song he wrote for a music class at school called My Jimmer Song, and Thomas was the dancer.

Second Haircut

Ryan and I decided to give Logan his second haircut just over a week ago; it had been about 2 months since his first haircut and his hair was a little long though it was kind of hard to tell just how long it was because of how light it is.

He did enjoy watching what was going on in the mirror. He wasn't so sure about the noise the clippers made at first but then started to watch what was going on in the mirror.

Cussing out dad after getting water poured over his head to get all the soap and hair off him.

We cut off all his curl, hopefully it will grow back but he looks so grown up with it shorter. We did miss quite a few spots but I think we did a great job considering he loved to move around and his hair is so thin and light when it's dry.

cute little boy

Playing at the banister. He tries to squeeze his head through the rails and starts to giggle when I try to grab him from the other side.

Playing in the snow.

Logan climbed out of his highchair after eating chocolate cake, got cake all over the rest of him from the table and tossed all the plates and cups off the table. It was a fun mess to clean up.

A trip to the park

At the beginning of March we joined cousins at a local park to play.

Taylor and Loren giving Logan a push on the swing.

Sitting on the big chair swings.

Going down the twirly slide with Taylor.

Climbing up a funny slide with bugs on it.

Cub River trip

Presidents day weekend we once again joined Kayla's in-laws at their home in Cub River. Our weekend was filled with snowshoeing, snowmobiling, x-box playing and just having fun.

Logan's favorite part was playing with/laying on a jumbo caterpillar that Kyle's parents got for their grandkids and it is a favorite of all the kids.
