We went to Chicago with Ryan's sister Cari and her husband Kevin. We got to see Blueman group; they are so cool I totally recommend going if your ever in Chicago. We went to Wicked; the first Broadway Musical I have ever seen and it was really good. It rained almost the whole time we were there but we are already talking about going back sometime because there was a lot that we didn't get to see because of the rain and there is just so much to see and do. We wanted to go to a Baseball game, but we didn't want to sit in the pouring rain to see the White Sox play.
This was the view from our hotel room.
The Chicago River
We went to Giordano's for Chicago style pizza. It was so good!
We went to Millennium Park and saw the Giant Bean that you can see the reflection of the city in. It is huge, when you walk under it you think you can just reach out and touch the side but the side is not even close to where you think it is.
We walked down to the Theater district the first night we were there.
Fiday we walked to Navy Pier, on our way we walked past this building that had all these chunks of rock from different places and buildings and we just happened to find one from home.
Navy Pier. Us at the end of the Pier with a view of the city in the background.
At Bubba Gump Shrimp at the pier. You use these signs on the tables to let the waiters and waitresses know if you need something or not.
There is a 3 story American Girl store in Chicago. I used to love reading the books and always wanted a doll; I never got one but my sisters did. I tried talking Ryan into getting a Bitty Baby to save for when we get a little girl but he talked me out of it.
There was a Lego store in the mall next to the hotel. They had tons of different models like this one of Darth Vader in the store and around the mall.
They had this model of our hotel in the store. It was so cool, I had never been in a Lego store before.
Portillo's Chicago Dog. They are so good. We had so many Chicago dogs it was awesome.
Saturday night we went to Wicked down in the Theater district. Wicked was so good.
After Wicked we went to the Melting Pot. We had a full meal with the cheese, oil and chocolate. It was really good. The flam be chocolate was so fun to watch.
We got to go to the Shed Aquarium. There are so many cool animals there. I took so many pictures of all the different animals but these are some of the best.
After the Shed Aquarium we went to Ed Debevics for lunch. If you have ever seen the Travel channel you know that it is the restaurant were they act all sarcastic and mean.
When we were walking around The Loop we found this subway entrance that had Ryan's name; so he had me take a picture of him with it.
On the weekends they have free Trolley's that you can ride on The Loop, and down the Magnificent Mile and to Navy Pier. This is the Trolley named Peanut that we rode on.
Sunday night before we came home we went to the top of the Hancock Tower which was right down the street from our hotel. This is the view from the top. The elevator takes less than a minute to get from the ground floor to the viewing deck on I think the 96th floor. My ears were popping so bad going up and down the elevator.

Looks like a fun trip, I've never been there and I had no idea they had a huge bean in the middle of town-kinda crazy if you ask me.
Wow Ash, I might just have to say that I am a 'little' jelous of you! J/K for real, but it looks like you guys had a ton of fun. Sorry you had to come back to normal home life! :) I love the pictures!!!
